The purpose of the qualification is to increase your knowledge and understanding of nutrition and healthy eating. It covers the following areas: Principles of healthy eating: nutritional needs of a variety of individuals; using food and nutrition information to plan a healthy diet; principles of weight management; eating disorders and food safety for the home environment.
This course is ideal, regardless of whether you work in the healthcare or fitness industry and want to enhance your existing knowledge, or simply want to make some healthy lifestyle adjustments to your own habits. You’ll gain an understanding of creating a diet and exercise plan that’s tailored to the individual and how to achieve maximum desired results.

This course will be delivered online, as part of your online learning programme, you will be provided with all of the support required to ensure your learning is successful. You will be assigned an Online Learning Marker who will review your assessments and feedback to you on an ongoing basis. In addition we have an Online Learning Team who can support in all aspects of your learning journey. You will also have access to high-quality learning materials that offer all of the information required to be successful.
All materials are provided for you to complete the course. However, you will need access to a PC/laptop and suitable Wi-Fi to access teaching and learning.
Most students over the age of 19 will be able to study these courses for free, however, please contact us if you’re aged 19-23 and do not yet have a full Level 2 qualification (five GCSEs grade 9-4/A*-C, NVQ Level 2 or higher) as additional eligibility criteria may apply.
There are no specific entry requirements, however, learners should have a minimum of level one in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.
