Campus@Northallerton is an exciting new education hub based in the heart of North Yorkshire – in the county town of Northallerton.
The million-pound campus forms part of a larger development to transform the town’s former prison into a retail, business and leisure complex.
Once completed, the Treadmills project will house shops, restaurants, a digital business centre, cinema and public open space – as well as the campus.
It is the first further and higher education facility for the district and will link learners of all ages with local businesses as well as the two education providers – the University of Sunderland and York College.
C@N is based in one of the five listed buildings on Treadmills – the former staff tenement block has been transformed into this exciting learning facility. It provides the town and the surrounding local community with a micro-university environment, combining high quality, contemporary physical learning and collaboration space with on-line learning, knowledge transfer and outreach.
The University of Sunderland and York College are offering a wide variety of courses and training.
The University of Sunderland as part of the Campus@Northallerton is looking to understand the skills gaps and needs within local businesses to Northallerton and the wider North Yorkshire area. This is in order to begin shaping a catalogue of different course types and subjects in order to compliment the existing offer as well as help fill the gaps in skills.
With this is mind, the University have designed the below questionnaire which we are aiming to get as many businesses as possible to complete. With the results we can then design a course programme that has maximum benefit.
